About my Soap
My soap is made from 100% natural ingredients. Why do I use all natural ingredients? Your skin is the largest organ of your body and absorbs what ever you put on it. This is not good if you are putting chemicals, artificial colorants and fragrances on your skin. You body soaks these up and this can cause skin problems. All natural soap helps keep your skin clean, healthy, and beautiful!
Why do I use Essential oils in my soap? Essential oils are amazing in what they can do for our bodies! Lavender oil, for example, helps with bruising, acne, can help calm you, and helps you sleep better! Peppermint oil helps treat indigestion, respiratory problems, headaches, nausea, fever, stomach and bowel spasms, and also helps relieve pain. Essentials oils also scent the soap in a healthy and all natural way. They are so much better for you then the artificial scents you can buy in the store.
Store bought soaps, are often made inexpensively so that a bigger profit can be made. I go the extra mile to make sure my soaps are going to benefit you not only through the physical health, but also in saving money. How did I become interested in soap making?
I have always been interested in the way people in centuries past have lived and I enjoyed learning skills that have been lost in today’s society. A friend, who knew this, invited me over to her house and taught me how to make soap . . . I was super excited and began to think about selling my own soap. My family helped me come up with plans for starting a business and encouraged me to go through with it.

The Process of my soap making
I make my soap in small batches to ensure quality.
First, my water and lye are mixed and set to cool. Then I mix and heat my base oils to a certain temperature so they do not burn. After the lye has cooled, I add it to the base oils and then add my essential oils. This is mixed well and then set in the molds to cool. When completely cooled, it is carefully cut into bars, or rolled into balls; then set to cure for five weeks.
Many people have had a bad experience when using lye soap-they say that lye burns. Lye will burn you if you do not handle it properly. When making lye soap, you need to let the lye cure for a minimum of four weeks. If this is done, the soap will not burn you. I let mine cure for five weeks to ensure that it will not burn. Why do I use lye? The short answer to this question is because you can't make soap without lye. When our great grandmothers made soap, they did not use lye, they used wood ashes and water; but we have replaced that with lye. The two have the same effect.

What is in my soaps?
I use Olive oil, coconut oil and vegetable oil as my base oils. In some soaps, I put little chopped up leaves of lavender, or basil or other such things in to add texture. The Essential oils I use are 100% pure and the lye I use is 100% pure.
